WebToonPool is a manga and webtoon reader built for people who love comics. We care about keeping your data private and being upfront about how the app works. This page explains what information we collect, why we need it, and what you can do about it. We've tried to keep it readable. No walls of legalese.
Like most apps, we log some activity automatically: • Basic request logs (which feature was used, when, and whether it succeeded) • Your reading preferences and interactions within the app • Your download history (this lives only on your device, not on our servers)
We automatically collect technical data from your device: • Device type, model, and OS version • App version and performance metrics • IP address (automatically logged to ensure server security, prevent malicious activities, detect abuse, and prevent fraud)
We use what we collect to run the app and keep it working properly: • Keeping your local app session stable • Delivering content and optimization based on device type • Sending you a heads-up when something important changes (security issues, policy updates, etc.) • Getting back to you when you reach out for support • Spotting, logging, and stopping abuse, DDoS attacks, or fraud • Meeting our legal obligations
Our app displays advertisements served through third-party networks, including IronSource (Unity LevelPlay). To display these ads, the ad network's SDK may automatically collect and process: • Your advertising ID (GAID on Android / Play Store) • Device identifiers and technical specifications • General location data (country or region level, not your precise GPS location) • Ad interaction metrics (clicks, views, impressions) Want to turn off personalized ads? You can do that anytime via your Android system settings: Settings › Google › Ads (or Privacy › Ads).
Your data security is important to us. Downloads and reading progress are stored securely in a local database on your device only. We use HTTPS for all connections between the app and our servers. That said, no system connected to the internet is perfectly bulletproof, and we won't pretend otherwise.
We don't sell your data. Full stop. We do share limited information with a few services that help us operate: • IronSource / Unity for ads • Infrastructure and hosting providers that keep the app running Everyone we work with is contractually required to handle your data responsibly and only for the purposes we've agreed on.
Request logs and network/IP logs are cleared automatically after 90 days. Local data on your device remains until you clear the app cache or uninstall the application.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: • Request information about any automatic logs we collect • Limit or object to certain uses of your network data • Opt-out of personalized advertisement tracking To make any inquiries, you can reach out through our Support section or contact email.
WebToonPool operates globally, which means technical data and logs may be processed outside your home country, including in places with different data protection laws than where you live. When we transfer data internationally, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure your information stays protected.
WebToonPool isn't for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you think a child has accessed the application improperly, please reach out and we'll take care of it right away.
We'll update this policy when needed. If something significant changes, we'll let you know inside the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use WebToonPool after an update means you're okay with the new version.

IP addresses are logged only for server security and abuse/fraud prevention and are deleted automatically after 90 days. You can limit ad data collection via Android Settings › Google › Ads. To request deletion of any data tied to you, contact webtoonpool@gmail.com.
